Special Events Catering

We are very excited to attend and cater your next Special Event!! We will take the show on the road and come directly to you. Specializing in Wedding Parties, Private Parties, Corporate Events, Festivals, Music Concerts, Cast and Crew Lunches, Sporting Events, Private Club Functions and pretty much every other event that you can imagine. Unlike some other trucks, we will provide late night and early morning service.... we've even switched directly from our late night service into breakfast service on occasion.

Our Food truck is self sufficient. We carry our own water, supplies and electric services. We use a super quiet generator as our sole power provider. The generator is less noisy than normal conversation, so you will hardly even know it's there. Many other trucks will not offer this service... make sure you ask in advance... there's no fun in having a DJ try and play over loud generator noise.

Frequently Asked Questions:

The Purple People Feeder is licensed and insured to provide food service within Nova Scotia. Certain Municipalities will require additional permits to provide food service in their town or county. The fees for any additional permits will be in addition to all other fees. We will let you know if an additional permit is required at the time of the quote.


There is a non refundable booking deposit of $500.00 at the time of booking. This fee will ensure that the date for your event is held and confirmed. At the conclusion of the event, this fee will be deducted from your total bill. If the event is canceled or the booking is canceled for any reason, this fee will not be returned to the client. Please remember… We work in all weather conditions.


There will be a ferry and setup fee for the Food Truck. This fee will be $250 +HST within HRM. Outside of HRM, the fee will be $2.50/km +HST or $250 +HST (whichever is greater). This fee will include the transport and set up of the food truck, generator, supply trailer, tents and/or other equipment.


There will be a minimum food expenditure for all events:

Weekday Lunch/Evening/Night: $1500.00 +HST

Weekend Lunch: $1500.00 +HST

Weekend Evening/Night $2000.00 +HST

Holiday/Long Weekend Events: $3000.00 +HST

(Please Note: Weekend fees will be charged for all Friday, Saturday and Sunday Events)


All catering contracts include:

0-50 people: 2 hours serving time

50+ people: 3 hours serving time


Any additional serving time will be at a rate of $125.00/hr + HST. Additional employees are also available if required.  


Catering costs will vary depending on meal plan selected, number of people and location of the event. If you would like to discuss other menu options, please contact us directly and we will attempt to accommodate any requests. We can create a menu that is tailored specifically to your event and budget requirements.


We can not provide alcoholic beverages for service from our truck.


All corporate clients will have a 15% Gratuity fee added to their invoice for ease of book keeping.

There will be a 3% processing fee for all credit card payments made via telephone. There is no fee for cash, debit or e-transfer transactions.
